After trying on bridal gowns for my wedding I thought what a shame these beautiful gowns would only ever be worn and enjoyed once.  

Wouldn't it be fun to have an event for us to enjoy wearing our wedding gowns again that would also benefit a much needed charity.

I shared my idea with friends and family and with their help and enthusiasm Bridal Gala Wairarapa was created.

Suzanne Truscott came to us with a wonderful idea to host a wedding gala where brides and grooms can wear their special gowns and suits and re-live their special day once again.

Here at the hotel we are privileged to be involved in these special occasions, and have hosted many weddings since 1972 when the hotel first opened its doors to the public, so we were very honoured to be asked to host this wonderful event which can help many children and their families in their time of need.

We are very happy Suzanne has chosen Kids Can for her charity.

We wish her all the best with this event, and we look forward to holding this here at Copthorne Solway Park Hotel.
